Canstruction® 2011
Sculptures in the 13th annual Tarrant County Canstruction® Competition and Exhibition ranged from the realistic to the abstract, from a cat to a scaled-down military tank with gun turret and super-sized bowling pins. The sculptures relate to this year's theme, "Ameri-CANS: Fighting Hunger because no one should go hungry!"
Nine teams of architects and engineers participated in the 2011 Canstruction® event Oct. 9 - 16 at North East Mall in Hurst.
Awards were decided by a panel of local celebrities and experts. The winners enter photo images of their structures in the international Canstruction® Competition sponsored by the Canstruction® Foundation of the Society for Design Administration.
All Tarrant County Canstruction® Competitions and Exhibits are organized by the Fort Worth Chapters of the Society for Design Administration and the American Institute of Architects.
