A DOLLAR GOES A LONG WAY
toward feeding families in need

$         1 =  Enough resources for Tarrant Area Food Bank to provide 6 pounds

                 of food for 5 meals

$       12 =  54 meals to a family headed by a low-wage worker whose earnings                  have been exhausted by day-care and medical expenses
$       2412 weekend backpacks of food for impoverished school children in                   Tarrant Area Food Bank's Backpacks for Kids program
$       56 = 252 meals to home-bound seniors subsisting on fixed incomes
$      112 = 504 breakfast meals for homeless people at shelters and soup                             kitchens
$      250 = 20 hours of nutrition education from the Food Bank's Choices!                             program for children and adults
$     440 = One agency phone line for one year
$     546 = Three months of meals for nine children living in special care facilities.

$     780 = One digital scale for Quality Control where volunteers pack boxes with

                foods to be picked up by TAFB's partner agencies

$   1,000 = Weekend backpacks of food for an entire school year for 14 children

                 in the Backpacks for Kids program
