Volunteering at Tarrant Area Food Bank

QUALITY CONTROL VOLUNTEERING

WAREHOUSE QUALITY CONTROL TEAMS

Groups and individuals come to Tarrant Area Food Bank's warehouse in Fort Worth to volunteer in the Quality Control (QC) area.  They inspect food for damage, sort, and repackage the food for distribution.

With one exception, QC volunteers must be at least 16 years old due to the use of moving machinery. Younger children may participate with their parents/guardians in the sessions for large adult groups to pack food for the Food Bank's Backpacks for Kids feeding program.

 

QUALITY CONTROL:  Volunteers are asked to work 3-HOUR SHIFTS

Monday & Friday, morning only:   9 to 12

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday: 

9 to 12 & 1 to 4       

Tuesday & Thursday evenings:  6 to 9
