Tarrant Area Food Bank hosts both annual fundraisers and annual appreciation events honoring our supporters. We are also the beneficiary of a number of annual events hosted by community groups and grocery retailers.

Ride for Kids (September - November) - A new event in 2013
Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price is working with Tarrant Area Food Bank to create a movement to raise awareness of local childhood hunger. Through the Fort Worth ISD and other community partners, youth are working to lead the way with the fundraising campaign, Ride for Kids—Gear up to End Hunger. The fundraising begins in September and will culminate in a fun kids' bike ride with the Mayor on Saturday, Nov 23, 2013. SAVE THE DATE! National Hunger Action Month (September)

Kick the Can (November)
(January through Super Bowl Sunday)
Kroger, Tom Thumb, Albertsons and other grocers with the help of major media outlets sponsor a public food drive in their stores as part of the national Souper Bowl of Caring.
