COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
Nutrition and Food Safety Education is provided to individuals and families through the Nutrition Department of the Food Bank. Our goal is to promote healthy eating habits and foster appetites for nutritious food.
We offer hands-on classes and workshops for heads of households, children, families and senior citizens, distribution of educational materials, a monthly newsletter and presentations at health fairs and other community events.
Popular topics include basic nutrition, culinary skills, food budgeting and food safety. Classes are provided at no cost to participants or host agencies.
Educational materials are provided for the general community on this website and for Partner Agencies through our monthly Info to Go displays in our Warehouse Distribution waiting room.
Learn more about education for the community, agencies and professionals at Operation Frontline, Special Groups, ServSafe® (Food Safety) and Info to Go.
