Financial Gifts
As a private nonprofit, Tarrant Area Food Bank’s primary source of income is financial gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, small businesses and community groups. Opportunities for providing financial support include, among others:
Volunteers
Time and services provided by volunteers saves Tarrant Area Food Bank tens of thousands of dollars each year. Volunteer activities range from sorting and re-packing food through planning or staffing special events or coordinating food drives to providing professional advice and expertise. Volunteers may serve as:
- Quality Control workers sorting and re-packing donated food at our warehouse.
- Special Event support staff
- Coordinators of employee and community food drives
- Food Advisory Committee participants
- Food Industry Advisors
- Members of the volunteer Food Bank Board of Directors
