2010
Community Kitchen
Super Bowl XLV
During the Super Bowl of 2011 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Community Kitchen chefs and graduates will be involved with catering at the stadium. Vedat Lika, instruction chef, and Manny Vasquez, production chef, will help Ricki Epstein, owner of Affairs to Cater, with catering a tailgate party for NFL team owners. Class 11 alum Tanner Peters, who works at Buttons, will join other members of that restaurant's staff in catering an event.
Graduates
Two alums, Ralf Diaz, Class 8, and James Brodie, Class 12, were hired in 2010 by Legends Hospitality to work in food services for the Dallas Cowboys organization at the new stadium in Arlington. They will work at the stadium during the Super Bowl.
Culinary Class 12 Update
The class graduated November 6, 2010. Students did their two-week internships at the following sites: SafeHaven, Harris Hospital, Cowboys Stadium, Tokyo Cafe, Milano's, Fresh from the Oven, Ol' South Pancake House, Billy Bob's, Day Break Cafe, and Hatch's Corner.

Cooking Matters™
In cooperation with Share Our Strength, Food Bank staff and volunteers teach nutrition/cooking classes for individuals and families referred by Partner Agencies of Tarrant Area Food Bank.
